Car window tinting tips – choosing a tint shade

We often get asked by people purchasing our pre cut car window tinting kits which shade of tint we would recommend for them.

It all depends on the reasons for your tinting your car. If you are applying tint for security, to stop people seeing into your car, or are going for a blacked out look when styling your car, then we would recommend our 5% limo tint. At night when it is dark this can reduce visibility from inside the car out of the rear windows so this is something to bear in mind.

Our most popular shade by far is our 20% dark smoke tint. It gives a good balance between style and practicality and in our opinion is the best looking shade.

If you are going for a more subtle look, or if you just want the health benefits of tint without going too dark, then our 35% light smoke of 50% light smoke tint shades would be the best option for you.

Fiat Grande Punto (35% Light Smoke Rear)

Remember – whichever shade you use, all of our films block out 99% of harmful UV rays and reflect the heat of the sun, keeping your car cool on a sunny day.
