The SEMA show is the worlds largest automotive trade event with exhibitors from around the globe, including many from the window film industry, and we are hoping to seek out some of the newest products out on the market.

I have taken one for the team and volunteered to go myself. Expect some pictures from the show of nice cars and new products later in November. Special guests there include Paul Jr and Vinnie from Orange County Choppers.

It can indeed be a stressful and tormenting ordeal when your beloved motor keeps failing you. Modifying your car, whatever it may be, is an extremely exciting experience and the buzz you get from rolling out of your garage for the first time with the shiny new engine pulsating under your custom bonnet, and your shiny new custom exhaust burbling behind you, is indeed an exhilarating feeling.

If this is you, then get out there and have a drive, however, make sure you obey the laws of the road! It’s not a racetrack after all. Also, if you were to disobey the rules of the road and drive too fast then you are simply increasing the chances of damaging your beloved car. By pushing your car too much you will be placing extra strain on the powerhouse and therefore will likely cause it problems in the future.

It will be a very wise idea to drive very carefully for the first 1000 miles in order to bed your engine in. This is just a general guideline however, and it will probably be better to go a bit further past the 1000 mile mark. After this then maybe you can think about running your car on a track in order to really test it out. Brands Hatch, Silverstone and a whole host of racing circuits around the country offer track days where you can turn up in your own car, pay a reasonable price, and then pretend you are Michael Schumacher for the day! It truly is one of the most thrilling days you can have.

In order to experience this though, you will have to maintain your cars reliability by doing simple things, like driving carefully on the roads, so that you are not one day in a cloud of steam by the side of a dual carriageway somewhere. Of course the normal tasks such as getting your car serviced every now and then will also ensure it remains reliable, and with a little TLC, and a sensible road ethic, you will be able to legally enjoy the full force of your machine on one of the UK’s top racing circuits.

1. Align the inner metal ring of the wheel trim with the tyre valve.

2. Apply pressure to the wheel trims until it has clicked into place all the way round.
