- How to tint your rear windscreen
You will need: squeegee, razor blade, spray bottle containing water and a drop of washing up liquid, lint free cloth.
1. IMPORTANT! Start with a clean car, and a relatively dust and wind free environment. Clean and dry all windows inside and out using window cleaner and a dish cloth or a cloth that will not leave bits on the window. Run a razor blade flat across the glass to ensure all little bits are removed - any dirt left will be very obvious once applied.
2. Spray the inside of your window with plenty of water/soap mixture.
3. Separate the clear lining piece from the pre cut window tint.
4. Spray the exposed adhesive surface on the window tint with the water/soap solution.
5. Attach the window tint to the car window. Lay the tint near the bottom of the soapy wet glass first and slide it down into position as you lay the top into position.
6. Squeegee excess water from the film, working from the centre outwards.
7. Your new window film will take about 3 to 5 days to fully dry, sometimes longer depending on weather conditions. Until this time your tinted windows may appear hazy or lumpy, and it may seem to have water bubbles. Do not roll your tinted windows down until dry!
